This collection area is located in the hills to the west of McDermitt, Nevada, on Hwy. 95 at the Oregon border. You can find a unique type of rock called "Gary Green Bog Rock or Larsonite" is agatized ancient bog or swamp. It has beautiful earthy brown and green colors. It is found near an old Cinnabar Mine. Mercury, Uranium and Lithium was also mined in the area. When I was there I found the Gary Green Bog Rock, Agate and Opalized Wood. Wonderstone and Jasper can also be found in the area.
